FAQ

Is Blackpurl 2 a full DMS or just an accounting add-on?

It is a cloud-native Dealer Management System with dedicated Workspaces for Sales, Parts, Service, and Accounting.

Can I keep my existing QuickBooks Online subscription?

Yes, or if new to QuickBooks, you can bundle a discounted subscription through Blackpurl.

Do you support Xero multi-currency?

Yes–Blackpurl passes transactions in the base currency defined in Xero; Xero handles the conversion.

How are deposits handled?

Customer deposits post to a liability account and clear automatically when the sale is finalized.

Does the sync include vendor bills?

Parts POs and service sublet invoices create payable bills in QuickBooks or Xero the moment they are received.

Is payroll included?

Payroll through QuickBooks Online (QBO) can be bundled directly with Blackpurl. Otherwise, choose a QBO or Xero-compatible payroll app; labor burden can be allocated back to service work orders in Blackpurl.

What about F&I revenue recognition?

Reserve, GAP, warranty, and credit-life products are booked with the correct split between income and payable accounts.

How secure is the connection?

OAuth-based API tokens with 256-bit encryption; no passwords stored in Blackpurl.
