Your Privacy

Blackpurl Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal information (“Personal Data”). This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Data we collect, how and why we process it, the legal bases we rely on, and the choices you have. By accessing blackpurl.com, any related mobile applications, or using our services (collectively, the “Services”), you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED

“Personal Data” includes your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, IP address, device identifiers, usage data, and billing information (e.g., credit-card details). We host your Personal Data on servers located in the United States. We use third-party hosting providers (currently Salesforce, AWS, and Microsoft Azure). Where required by law, we rely on EU-approved Standard Contractual Clauses or other transfer mechanisms for cross-border data transfers.

When you use our Services we collect Personal Data that you voluntarily give us or that is generated through your interaction with the Services. We also collect certain data automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies & Similar Technologies” below).

CONSENT AND OTHER LEGAL BASES

Your provision of Personal Data constitutes consent to its processing for the purposes set out below. Where applicable law requires a different legal basis, we process Personal Data because it is necessary (i) to perform our contract with you, (ii) for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, or (iii) to comply with legal obligations.

You may withdraw consent or object to processing at any time by emailing privacy@blackpurl.com. Withdrawal will not affect processing that has already occurred and may limit our ability to provide Services.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

  • We use your Personal Data to:
  • verify your identity;
  • provide, operate, and continually improve the Services;
  • communicate with you about the Services;
  • personalize and market relevant products or features (with opt-out available);
  • maintain and develop our software;
  • invoice and collect payments;
  • provide customer and technical support;
  • produce aggregated, de-identified analytics;
  • detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, security incidents, or legal violations; and
  • comply with applicable laws.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

We do not sell or rent your Personal Data. We may share it only with:

  • service providers and subprocessors that perform functions on our behalf (e.g., payment processors, hosting, analytics, marketing email platforms) under written contracts;
  • your employer or organization if you use our Services under a corporate account;
  • credit-card issuers, credit-reporting agencies, or debt-collection agencies as needed;
  • successors in interest in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale;
  • law-enforcement or regulators when required by applicable law or to protect our rights.

SECURITY

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data. Access is role-based and logged. Despite these measures, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

DATA RETENTION

We keep Personal Data only for as long as necessary to (i) fulfill the purposes described above, (ii) comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, or (iii) resolve disputes. After that, data is securely deleted or de-identified.

INTERNATIONAL USERS

If you are located outside the U.S., you acknowledge that your Personal Data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We will ensure an adequate level of protection as required by your jurisdiction.

YOUR RIGHTS

Subject to local law, you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your Personal Data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights by emailing privacy@blackpurl.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

COOKIES & SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies, web beacons, and local storage to:

  • authenticate you;
  • remember preferences;
  • analyze site traffic and usage; and
  • deliver targeted advertising (with your consent where required).

Most browsers allow you to control cookies via settings. If you disable cookies, some features may not function.

Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Where required by U.S. state privacy laws, we honor Global Privacy Control opt-out signals for targeted advertising.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from them. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us so we can delete it.
